Brief Description of Female Ross's Geese: Ross’ Geese breed in colonies, starting in their second or third year. The nest is often situated at the edge of a low thicket. The nest is built by the Female after she lays her first egg, she constructs a bulky pile of leaves, grass, and moss, depressed in the middle of the nest. After young goslings leave the nest they set about feeding themselves.
